I’ve had the chance to meet three medal of honor recipients after we recognized them on the Senate floor. This is what they all say about the men and women who were just as heroic, and some never came home. From Clint Romesha, MOH recipient, and author of the best seller, Red Platoon (my next read):
“It’s great to be the one that got selected to wear it, but the medal’s not mine. It’s those eight great men, it’s those men and women that are still serving today, men and women that have put on the uniform from previous conflicts to keep this country free.”
